LA Pete's

La Pete's in Independence is one of those breakfast spots you can keep going back to and know you're going to get a great meal. The atmosphere is comfortable, the service is friendly, and they do the classics really well.

The Eggs Benedict is one of my favorites, with perfectly poached eggs and a rich hollandaise that isn't too heavy. The pancakes and waffles are light, fluffy, and exactly what you want from a good breakfast spot, and the crepes are another standout.

If you love a solid, locally owned breakfast place with consistently good food, La Pete's is definitely worth a stop.
